The Federal Register contains the regulations made under the authority of an Act.

The Code of Federal Regulations – online at http://www.gpoaccess.gov/cfr/index.html and WestlaweCarswell (Database identifier: CFR) and LexisNexis Quicklaw.

A new Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) is issued on January 1st of each year. It is a codification of the general and permanent rules and regulations published originally in the Federal Register by executive departments and agencies of the federal government.
